ParticipantIf Assault is the spearhead of a push and Engineer is the hammer that breaks defenses, then Support is the glue holding everything together. Playing Support in Battlefield 6’s Gauntlet mode is one of the most underrated — but absolutely essential — roles in the game. Once you understand how much influence you have over your team’s momentum, Support becomes one of the most satisfying classes to master.
The number one thing that changed how I play Support is understanding that survival and visibility are more important than raw damage. Your squad lives longer and fights more aggressively when you keep them supplied. And nothing helps you achieve that better than the Smoke Launcher.
Smoke is your best friend. In Gauntlet, every fight is chaotic, every push is dangerous, and being caught out in the open is basically a death sentence. But with a well-timed smoke screen, your team suddenly has room to breathe. Need to revive someone in the open? Smoke. Need to cross a street under sniper fire? Smoke. Need to rush a building without being shredded on the approach? Smoke again.
If you haven’t unlocked the Smoke Launcher yet, Smoke Grenades are a solid backup. Combine them with Deployable Cover and you can build your own temporary safe zones wherever your squad is getting hammered.
But my personal favorite Support gadget is the Incendiary Grenade. It may not increase your team’s wellbeing directly, but it denies the enemy theirs — and that is just as valuable. If you down someone and want to make sure they don’t get revived, toss an incendiary over the body. If the enemy is holding a doorway or clustered behind a corner, fire forces them to move. It’s battlefield control at its finest.
The biggest mistake Support players make is treating the role like a passive, background job. In reality, Support sets the pace. When you drop ammo boxes, your squad pushes further. When you smoke, your squad moves safely. When you throw fire, the enemy panics.
Support isn’t glamorous, but it’s powerful. And when your squad survives an impossible push because you were there enabling them, nothing feels better. Follow U4GM for fast Battlefield 6 Bot Lobby delivery and reliable service.
